Yesterday, there was a report that the Tri-Cities were going to be dumped on w/ a lot of snow today.
I said, Naw, it can’t be true (kidding myself of course, this is Canada afterall).
I checked the weather network TV station last night, and www.theweathernetwork.com and it was clear. No major snow fall expected.
This morning however, I get to work and decide to check the website again. Low and behold, there’s the bloody snow expected.
CRAP!
20 – 25cm today/tonight. That’s about 7.5 – 10 inches for you American folk.
CRAP!
I hate winter, because it means a certain Dog, is going to be rather stubborn…. or better yet, MORE stubborn than usual.
ARRGHH!
Winter is cold, cold, cold, cold, and depressingly cold. The Dog, hates winter. I don’t blame her, she’s a chihuahua for crying out loud. Chihuahua and Cold/Snow don’t exactly mingle well.
I hate having to make a path to the back for the dog, because she’s a little bitch and will relieve herself right on the front step (that is of course, if she actually decides she’s going to be nice enough to go outside before she relieves herself where ever she pleases… IE. the library, or under my side of the desk in the office — not that she’s ever done that before… nope, not her.. she’s innocent just ask her she’ll tell ya. Some say it’s cause she’s Old, and just can’t hold it in and that’s why these ‘accidents’ happen, but we (Kim and I) know full well that she’s in perfect health for an 11 year old dog, not to mention the clean bill of health from the Vet also indicates this. Overall, and really the only reason she does it, is because she don’t want to go outside or she’s copping an attitude when we don’t take her with us somewhere…. She’d rather live w/ the stench of her own crap, and urine before waiting to going out to relieve herself.
This year though, she’s got 1 shot to be a decent dog. We bought her some designer booties. We’ve thought about these before, because she mostly hates getting cold feet, and I can sympathize with that. These Booties are a perfect fit, and she doesn’t mind wearing the back ones, but when we get all 4 on her she walks so funny you’d nearly pee yourself to see it. She can run better than she walks when she has all 4 on. In the end, we are hoping to get her used to them, so that she won’t hate to put ‘em on, so we can take her out and she won’t get the cold feet.
Here’s hoping, cause if that fails, during the day, she’ll be staying in the four walled Doggie Condo, where the felines of the house will taunt her. Least then though, she won’t be relieving herself on my new floors.
Guess it’s going to be a long winter, like I’ve been saying all along, despite the weather analysts and Farmer’s “Full of Crap” Almanac.
ARGH!

You really need to post pictures of her in the booties!
