Reference: World Peace vs. New PC
I don’t know about you, but personally, I’d be one of those who would prefer a new PC over World Peace.
Before you jump the gun and preach about how ‘unethical‘ or ‘selfish‘ it is, my reply to that is “well yea… but so what”
Why? Well it’s simple really…
World Peace, is for the barbies of the world to wish for.
World Peace is essentially the “Impossible Dream”. The only way to achieve it, is by a means no man (or woman for you feminist lot) should ever shallow to. (Although, some megalomaniacs through history have certainly put a lot of effort into their attempts…. -not mentioning any names)
A new PC on the other hand is at least a little more realistic. (if you’re like me, A new PC is close to the proverbial impossible dream, but that’s beside the point)
My computer is 4 years old, and in desperate need of a make over, or at very least a replacement altogether. I won’t be able to get it on my own, so I came up w/ a little idea to ask for a little piece of it from my family. Whether they go for it or not, is one thing, but if they do, for less than $1000, and possibly for no more than $400 I could have a system built that is up to today’s standards, and by far out performs my existing tower of hurt.
All in all, that’s a small order in comparison to “World Peace” and certainly a lot more attainable.
