Okay, so a couple more updates.
Update #1
Received a random call this morning from a woman, who found our information and had a similar situation occur with her Daughter’s passport. She was going on a trip to play flute, and was delayed because of the Passport hold up. She was kind enough to share an alternative contact number with me so that we could try to get through to a real person at Passport Canada.
Kim will be trying to call it when she gets home.
Update # 2
Called 570News back, told them I’d make the call tomorrow. Kim can’t she’s working, and can’t afford to lose another vacation day.
Update # 3
We are making some waves now… Kim just called, Apparently, Harold Albrecht’s office just called her to say that things were getting done now. This is the MP office that offered to help when our own MP wouldn’t give her the time of day when she needed it, unless she went to Passport Canada first… Harold Albrecht’s Constituency Assistant, Carol Hoffard called, and said that she had drafted a letter, and it was signed my Mr. Albrecht himself stating that we had done everything we could, and that she (Hoffard) had as well. Hoffard said, her Bosses are getting her to make sure this is taken care of ASAP. We are to expect a call today from Passport Canada, advising that her Passport will be in the mail today/tomorrow and in her hands by Friday. All I can say, is It better be.
